The School of Economics and Trade has a team of teachers with high academic attainments, strong scientific research capabilities and rich teaching experience. The college currently has 76 teachers, including 24 professors, 35 associate professors, and 17 assistant professors. Among the teaching staff, teachers with doctoral degrees account for 80% of the total number of teachers, and teachers with experience of studying abroad account for more than 60% of the total number of teachers. Among the faculty are the Changjiang Scholars Distinguished Professor of the Ministry of Education, the winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the national teaching teacher, the leading talents in philosophy and social sciences of the National "Ten Thousand Talents Program", the "four batches" talents of the Central Propaganda Department and cultural masters, and education  National-level candidate of the Ministry of "New Century Talent Project", "New Century Excellent Talent Support Program", Hunan Province "Furong Scholars Program" Distinguished Professor, Hunan Province Natural Science Outstanding Youth Fund winner, Hunan Province outstanding social science expert and outstanding young social science experts, candidates for the "Huxiang Young Talents" support program, and "Yuelu Scholars" of Hunan University.  The party committee of the college attaches great importance to the ideological and political work of teachers and students, and gives full play to the advanced role of teachers and student party members, and a number of advanced models and individuals have emerged.
