Professor, Department of International Economics and Trade

Xiao Hao is currently deputy Dean of School of Economics and trade, Professor at the Department of International Economics and Trade, School of Economics and Trade, Hunan University. He received a Ph.D. in Economics from Hunan University in November 2009 and postdoctoral degree from Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science Chinese Academy of Sciences in November 2010. And He has been a visiting scholar in Victoria University Australia. Professor Xiao’s research interests lie in Global Value Chain and Economic System Modeling. He has published over 30 papers in B.E. Journal of Theoretical Economics, Energy Economics, Applied Energy, Journal of Theoretical Economics, Frontiers of Earth Science, Journal of Chinese Economics and Business Studies, China Population Resources and Environment (in Chinese), World Economy (in Chinese), etc. He has also hosted or attended several major provincial and ministerial projects.

Professor Xiao is actively involved in many research institutions and professional organisations. He is Deputy Director of the Department of International Trade; Deputy Director of the Economic Data Research Center; Deputy Director of the China-Australia Economic Policy Research Center. He also served as Director of the Management and Decision Science Committee; Director of the Energy Resource System Engineering Branch of the Chinese System Engineering Society; Director of the Chinese Input-Output Society; a member of the Youth Working Committee of the Chinese Society of Optimal Planning and Economic Mathematics.
