Professor, Department of International Economics and Trade

Professor Lai Mingyong received his Ph.D. in Engineering from National University of Defense Technology in 1997. His research interests lie in International trade, Logistics System Engineering, Regional Economics etc. Professor Lai is currently professor of Department of International Economics and Trade; Ph.D Supervisor;Vice President of Hunan University. He has published 7 monographs and nearly 100 academic journals. And he has hosted or attended several major provincial and ministerial projects and won many national teaching and research awards.

Professor Yang is active in public service. He is Vice Chairman of the 11th CPPCC of Hunan Province (since 2013); Chairman of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the China Democratic National Construction Association; Vice President of the China World Economic Association; Deputy Director of the Economic and Trade Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education; Member of the Hunan Provincial Academician Expert Advisory Committee; Director of the Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory of Logistics Information and Simulation Technology.

He is also a a recipient of the State Council Special Allowance and Yangtze River Scholar Distinguished Professor of Economics of Ministry of Education.
